It’s no secret that Wisconsin’s economy is on the rise, with growth expected to continue.
The state’s economy is the best it has been in 18 years, and its growth is outpacing neighboring Midwestern states, according to John Koskinen, chief economist for the Wisconsin Department of Revenue. He spoke about the state’s economy during a recent presentation at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside.
Unemployment is low, and wages are on the rise, he said. Meanwhile, entrepreneurship and domestic migration are also on the upswing.
Jobs growth has helped attract more people to work in Wisconsin. The competition for workers has helped to boost salary and benefits, he said.
