PESHTIGO (WLUK) — At a stop in Peshtigo Tuesday, Governor Scott Walker said his proposed K-12 budget is a top priority.
The Governor is looking to set aside hundreds of millions of dollars.
However, some lawmakers say it’s too soon to know exactly how much money will make it through the Legislature.
Shaking hands with educators, and talking about his proposed $649 million investment in education, Governor Walker stressed the importance of support from lawmakers.
“I’m less worried about the process and more focused on the ultimate policy. And the policy is, we need to put more in our schools to help build our workforce,” said Walker.
