Ongoing excitement statewide, digital ads highlight tens-of-thousands of jobs that will transform state’s economy

[Madison, Wis.] – With Foxconn’s historic investment bringing tens-of-thousands of jobs to our state, Wisconsinites are seeing yet again how Gov. Walker’s bold conservative reforms are delivering results for hard-working Wisconsin families

Statewide and national excitement over the once-in-a-century opportunity – including coverage of digital ads launched by Friends of Scott Walker and Team Ryan – continued this week. The ads highlight how Foxconn will transform our state’s economy.

Check out what they’re saying:

From the Associated Press and WSAW TV in Wausau: “Both House Speaker Paul Ryan and Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker launched digital ad campaigns Tuesday. Walker spearheaded negotiations with Taiwan-based Foxconn and called on Ryan to meet with company officials, which plan to invest $10 billion on a display panel plant in Ryan’s southeast Wisconsin congressional district.”

From the Capital Times: “The manufacturing campus, expected to measure 20 million square feet, is projected to employ between 3,000 and 13,000 people at an average annual salary of $53,875. Ryan, who is from Janesville and represents the area where the facility is anticipated to be located, applauded Walker as the deal was announced for ‘quarterbacking’ the effort.”

From the Wisconsin State Journal: “For every 10 jobs created at a massive electronics manufacturing campus planned to be built by Taiwanese tech giant Foxconn in southeastern Wisconsin, 17 more jobs will be created elsewhere in the state, an analysis by a company consultant shows. A study commissioned by Foxconn and released by Gov. Scott Walker’s administration Friday shows the facility’s operations would support more than 35,000 jobs statewide — a figure that includes the 13,000 planned to be at the campus itself.”

From the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel: “Walker was the point man in negotiations with Foxconn, while Ryan also helped court the Taiwan-based firm. … ‘Foxconn’s investment is a once-in-a-century opportunity to transform Wisconsin’s economy, and an example of Gov. Walker delivering results for hard-working Wisconsin families,’ Walker campaign manager Joe Fadness said in a statement.”
