Walker Campaign Statement on Governor Retiring Debt from Presidential Run
January 13, 2017

Friends of Scott Walker released the following statement on news breaking statewide today that Governor Walker has retired the debt from his presidential run as of Dec. 31, 2016, as he committed to doing:

“This is just further proof that when Governor Walker makes a commitment, he meets it – just like Wisconsin taxpayers do every day,” Friends of Scott Walker spokesman Joe Fadness said. “That’s why his supporters remain as energized as ever, and why he’s built a record of reform that has Wisconsin headed in the right direction.”

Earlier this afternoon, several local and statewide news outlets broke news on the governor retiring his presidential debt. You can read more about the news from the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel and other outlets across the state.
